Premium Facebook Campaign and Ads Beacons


Description

Create and configure Beacons within a Social Dashboard to obtain detailed Facebook Ad Campaign and/or Ad-specific details including Creative, Time Period, Spend, Reach and Engagement metrics. Put two or more Beacons side-by-side to compare campaigns or alongside other Beacons like Google Adwords to compare the effectiveness of your Paid Campaigns and Channels.

Configuration

Follow these instructions to add the Facebook Ads Beacon:

  1. Login to gShift and Navigate to the Dashboard you would like to add the Beacon to.
  2. Click the Add Beacon icon.
  3. Click Create and Configure a New Beacon button.
  4. Select Facebook Ad.
  5. Enter a Name for the Beacon. (Displayed in the Beacon Library and the Beacon Info Section.)
  6. Enter a Title. (Used in the Beacon on the Dashboard)
  7. Enter a Description. (Displayed in the Beacon Library and the Beacon Info Section.)
  8. Select a Facebook Ads Account. (Learn how to add a Facebook account)
  9. Select a Facebook Campaign which includes the Ad you would like to report on.
  10. Select a Facebook Ad you would like to report on.
  11. Optional - Select the Template box if you would like to use this Beacon in other Dashboards.

  1. Login to gShift and Navigate to the Dashboard you would like to add the Beacon to.
  2. Click the Add Beacon Icon.
  3. Click Create and Configure a New Beacon button.
  4. Select Facebook Campaignfrom the Beacon list.
  5. Enter a Name for the Beacon. (Displayed in the Beacon Library and the Beacon Info Section.)
  6. Enter a Title. (Displayed in the Beacon on the Dashboard)
  7. Enter a Description. (Displayed in the Beacon Library and the Beacon Info Section.)
  8. Select a Facebook Ads Account. (Learn how to add a Facebook account)
  9. Select a Facebook Campaign that you would like to report on.
  10. Optional - Select the Template box if you would like to use this beacon on other dashboards.

Drilldown

This beacon enables you to see the creative for an ad (selected or within the campaign selected), interactions with the ad over the course of the campaign and detailed metrics for the ad or campaign. 

You can take a screenshot of the Beacon via the screenshot button in the top right corner of the beacon. (Displayed when you hover with your pointer.) 

You can also quickly change the campaign or ad selected in the Beacon via the configure button in the top right of the beacon. (Displayed when you hover with your pointer.)


Now What

Now that you can see the performance of your Facebook Ads and/or Campaigns you will be able to make decisions and adjustments to their performance within Facebook.

Some common adjustments and recommendations to consider include:

  • Low Engagement (Clicks, Comments, Likes, Shares). Edit your copy or Image to make it more compelling to encourage the users to interact with it. 
  • Low Click Through Rate (CTR) often shows that your ad is not effective. Pause these ads and revise them or replace them to increase your overall performance. 
  • If your Spend is higher than expected, ensure you have budget and limits set on your Ads and Campaigns.
